Ropes and cords should preferably be stored in dry and dark rooms and protected from radiant heat from heat sources. Avoid contamination with chemicals. Although most ropes are resistant to chemicals, prolonged contamination could significantly damage the rope.
Use a sharp knife or fuse wire to divide the ropes. If you are dividing the rope with a knife, be sure to fix the two separated parts with adhesive tape or wire to prevent unravelling.
Always seal the ends of synthetic ropes that have been split without using fuse wire, and do this at least with a lighter flame.
Tip: We offer a safe and functional electric soldering iron for rope cutting. It can be found here: HEAT CUTTER
