Polypropylene split-film is an extruded semi-finished product used in the production of webbings or ropes. LANEX has three extrusion lines on which this split-film is produced. We are happy to customize the product to your requirements - we can adjust its length weight, UV stabilization, colour hue or fibrillation. The split-film can also be thermofixed and twisted into simple and more complex constructions.
The linear weights of these split-films range from 3,000 to 31,600 den (3,300 to 35,100 dTex) with relative strengths reaching values from 4.0 to 4.9 g/den (3.5 to 4.3 cN/dTex). The split-film is stabilized against the effects of UV radiation in the range from 0 to 300 kLy. The product can also be fibrillated, which when stretched gives it a network structure that makes it more efficient to apply e.g. oils .
We also produce polypropylene split-film in the following modifications:
- antistatic - the split-film does not get dirty, dust does not stick to it,
- with antimicrobial treatment - a permanent treatment that prevents the activity of microorganisms,
- inflammable - split-film with a flame retardant.
The split-film for sewing thread has a 15% higher relative strength and a 25% higher tensile strength due to the different material composition. The linear weights of these split-films range from 2,000 to 14,850 den (2,200 to 16,500 dTex) with relative strengths ranging from 5.3 to 6.0 den (4.7 to 5.3 cN/dTex). The UV stabilization range is from 0 to 300 kLy.
The split-film’s colour variations are: clear, yellow, red, blue, green, grey and black.
In addition to split-film, we also offer multifilament fibre, for more information click HERE.
