Supercoating

LANEX a.s. sets a new standard in the quality of paper carrier ropes – the supercoating technology. Besides single fibre impregnation and heat setting, the new ropes treated by this technology are additionally impregnated and heat set. This two-step-operation improves the abrasion resistance significantly, reduces elongation, increases water and chemical resistance, and gives better grip and adherence to the paper web. Pulleys in the drying section are frequently clogged with hardened starch. This solid layer damages polyamide fibres. Special impregnation of Superline ropes protects the ropes against excessive abrasion by starch crystals and the ropes have a low elongation, almost do not absorb water, and retain their colour after wetting.
