Paper carrier ropes of LANEX at the SPCI Exhibition
The SPCI Exhibition took place in Stockholm in 1969 for the first time and is unambiguously the most important meeting of specialists and companies in the field of paper and pulp industry today. The exhibition is organized once every three years in Stockholm, Sweden, and was held from 17 to 19 May 2011 for the fifteenth time. The number of visitors reached almost 10,000.
LANEX a.s. exhibited paper carrier ropes at the stand A05:20 together with our Swedish distributor – the company AB ÖFVERGÅRD & CO.
More than 700 companies (230 exhibition stands) presented their products on an area of 10,500 m2 in the following fields: Project, design and advisory services; Maintenance technologies; Fuel processing and delivery; Production of paper carrier ropes (LANEX a.s., Teufelberger, William Kenyon); Heating, venting and air conditioning; Water treatment technologies; Wood handling and chopping/cutting; Mechanical production of paper pulp; Chemical defibering; Sorting and purification; Bleaching and chemical bleaching; Pulp drying and packing; Chemical regeneration; Pulp delivery; Storage; Paper and board machines and accessories/ancillary equipment; Surface finish; Glazing and finishing; Converting; Quality control and measurement; Electrical equipment; Pumps, valves and piping systems; Material transportation and handling; Environment protection technologies; Work environment and industrial safety; Chemical agents and additives; Waste paper handling; Products made of chipboards and fibreboards; Laboratory outfit.
The exhibition brought many new and interesting things, but it has to be stated that the number of visitors did not achieve that of the previous event. The main reason was the fact that leading manufacturers of paper machines VOITH, METSO and others did not participate in the event. Another reason are financial problems connected with the lingering economic and financial crisis which significantly affected also the paper industry (especially in Europe).
