Compact UNO
Compact Uno is a braided coreless paper carrier rope made of multifilament polyamide fibres. Individual fibres are treated with a special paraffin impregnating agent. This protective barrier protects the rope against effects of moisture and high temperature that are typical for drying sections of paper machines. Unlike conventional construction of braided paper carrier ropes, individual strands of this rope are not twisted but form a uniform cluster of fibres that provides an increased protection of the rope compactness against sharp shape of starch particles and other chemicals used in paper machines.
Compact UNO must be properly tensioned under operating conditions. Splicing is critical, and must be carried out according to instructions available in printed form and on DVD.
